Authorities in Craighead County have arrested a Hoxie woman on a controlled substance charge.
According to jail records, April Dawn McQuay, 46, was taken into custody on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. McQuay was booked into the Craighead County Detention Center on a charge of possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance, excluding methamphetamine or cocaine.
She remains incarcerated at the detention center as of this report, awaiting a bond hearing and an appearance in court. Further details regarding the case have not been released.
