Country music duo LOCASH is preparing to release their latest project, a five-track EP titled "Let the Country Music Play," on August 7. The group, comprised of Preston Brust and Chris Lucas, announced that the EP features a mix of new material, collaborations, and their latest radio single, “Talkin Bout.”
Among the EP’s highlights is its title track, a collaboration with Parmalee that transforms Rupert Holmes’ classic hit "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)" into a Nashville-inspired reimagining. Another track, “Yes,” was released earlier this year in May, giving fans an early taste of the duo’s latest creative direction.
In addition to “Talkin Bout,” the EP includes two other original songs, “I Ain’t Goin Nowhere” and “Love Always Wins.”
“Let the Country Music Play” serves as the follow-up to LOCASH’s previous album, "Bet the Farm," which included the hit single “Hometown Home.” That song secured its place as one of the top five country hits of 2025, solidifying the duo's presence in contemporary country music.
The release continues LOCASH’s trajectory in the genre, as the pair seeks to build on their success with a blend of familiar influences and innovative elements. The upcoming EP will be available on major platforms beginning August 7.
