The Arkansas Agriculture Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for its next class of inductees. Established in 1987, the Hall of Fame honors individuals who have made significant contributions to agriculture, Arkansas’s largest industry, and to the state’s economic development. Since its inception, the Hall of Fame has inducted 204 men and women who have played pivotal roles in strengthening the agricultural industry across the state.
Debbie Moreland, chair of the Arkansas Agriculture Hall of Fame, explained that the program was created to acknowledge individuals whose efforts have bolstered agriculture throughout Arkansas. "They have played roles in strengthening agriculture across the Natural State," she said.
The nomination process is open to the public, meaning anyone may submit a candidate for consideration. The nomination form requires detailed information, including the primary reason for the nomination, a summary of the nominee’s contributions to agriculture and their community, a record of their professional experience, and details of their public service in support of agriculture.
Nomination forms can be accessed online or requested by calling 501-228-1609. The deadline for submissions has not yet been specified.
The induction ceremony for the 2027 class is scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 4, 2027, at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock.
