Lawrence County 4-H will host a Cardboard Boat Regatta on Tuesday, October 10, at Lake Charles State Park. The event begins at 1 p.m. and invites participants of all ages to compete in one of four divisions.

The divisions are categorized as follows: Youth under 14, Youth over 14, Adult, and Instant. Participants in the first three divisions can construct their cardboard boats ahead of race day using approved materials. The Instant division, however, challenges competitors to build their boats on-site with supplies provided at the event.

Awards will celebrate various achievements, including the "Titanic Award" for the most dramatic sinking, the "MacGyver Award" for the winner of the Instant division, and the "Van Gogh Award" for the most creative boat. The "All Hands on Deck Award" will honor the team displaying the most spirit, while first, second, and third place prizes will be awarded in each division.

Spaces for the regatta are limited, and organizers encourage early registration. Participants can register through the 4-H Zsuite platform at either [http://4h.zsuite.org/event-registrations/59621](http://4h.zsuite.org/event-registrations/59621) for Zsuite account holders or [http://4h.zsuite.org/external-event-registration/59621](http://4h.zsuite.org/external-event-registration/59621) for those without accounts.

Lake Charles State Park is located in Powhatan, Arkansas, and serves as a popular site for recreational activities. The regatta promises to showcase creativity, teamwork, and spirited competition among participants and teams.
