Two Huntsville men have been identified in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in Madison County last week, according to the Arkansas State Police (ASP). The Madison County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the ASP Criminal Investigation Division to investigate the incident.
Deputies were dispatched around 4:15 a.m. on August 28 to a reported shooting in the 200 block of Madison County Road 2361. At the scene, authorities found 22-year-old Darrell Napolitano of Huntsville deceased.
Another Huntsville man, 22-year-old Joshua Napolitano, was taken into custody on-site. Authorities say he faces one count of first-degree murder. Initially held at the Madison County Detention Center, he was later transferred to the Benton County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $350,000 bond.
ASP confirmed that Darrell Napolitano’s body has been transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory, where the cause and manner of death will be examined.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no further details have been released, according to the Arkansas State Police.
