BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. — Dash camera footage captured an Arkansas State Police trooper bringing a high-speed pursuit to a halt on U.S. Highway 61 near Blytheville on Wednesday.
According to authorities, the car involved—a light green Lexus—was traveling on only three tires when it accelerated to 105 mph along Division Street, exceeding the area’s 45 mph speed limit. Officials reported the driver also drove against oncoming traffic at over 100 mph.
The chase came to an end when Trooper Tanner Seal caught up with the Lexus near County Road 458. The vehicle had slowed to about 40 mph while traveling on the shoulder of the highway. Seal executed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI), a maneuver used by law enforcement to safely stop fleeing vehicles.
The driver, identified as 44-year-old Tekeisha Nicole Waters of Osceola, was taken into custody. She faces 11 charges, including felony fleeing in a vehicle.
Law enforcement reminds the public that all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
