A Maynard man was arrested earlier this week and is facing a range of felony charges, including drug possession, firearm violations, and failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.

Jeffery Harris, 64, was apprehended by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office on the evening of August 30. According to the sheriff’s office, he was taken into custody and transported to the RCSO Detention Center, where he remains incarcerated awaiting a bond hearing and court appearance.

Harris has been formally charged with several offenses, including:

- Simultaneous possession of drugs and a firearm (felony) - Possession of a controlled substance, Schedule I or II (felony) - Failure to register as a sex offender (felony) - Possession of a firearm by a certain person (felony) - Furnishing prohibited articles (felony) - Possession of a controlled substance, Schedule III - Possession of drug paraphernalia - Possession of fentanyl - Transportation of fentanyl

Additionally, Harris faces multiple misdemeanor charges, including defective equipment, failure to register a vehicle, and driving without insurance.
