The Izard County Fair and Livestock Show continues today in Melbourne with a variety of events for attendees.
The Izard County Office of Emergency Management will be present, offering residents an opportunity to sign up for Regroup, the county’s emergency and weather notification system.
Activities begin at 9 a.m. with the swine show. A veterans brunch will follow later in the morning, running from 10 a.m. to noon, providing a chance for veterans to gather and connect.
For those interested in creative arts, the Creative Arts Building will open its doors from 2 to 8 p.m. Auction events start in the late afternoon, with the 4-H Poultry Chain Auction scheduled at 5 p.m. and the Extension Homemakers Cookie Jar Auction set for 6 p.m.
The evening also offers livestock showcases, including the Beef Cattle Show and Old Timers Show, both beginning at 6 p.m. Wrapping up the day, Tommy Rand will produce the AFR Rodeo starting at 7:30 p.m. in the fairgrounds arena.
The county fair will conclude on Saturday, offering one final opportunity for community members and visitors to enjoy its activities.
