The Mountain Home Bombers are set to kick off their 2026 football season on Friday evening with a home game against the Farmington Cardinals. This meeting marks the first time the two schools have faced each other on the football field.
The game will take place at Bomber Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Fans attending the event will also have the opportunity to honor military members and first responders, as the Bombers are hosting a special Military and First Responders Night.
Now in his seventh year leading the Bombers, head coach Steve Ary reflected on the team’s preparations heading into their first regular-season matchup. He acknowledged that weather conditions earlier in the week presented some challenges. Still, Ary remains optimistic, noting that the team’s focus has been on improving from their performance in last week’s scrimmage against Marion.
Meanwhile, the visiting Farmington Cardinals, coached by Arkansas High School Coaches Association Hall of Famer Tommy Tice, are expected to bring strong discipline and preparation to Friday’s game. Ary expressed respect for the opponent, noting he believes the Cardinals will be ready for a competitive contest.
