Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders has announced a series of appointments to state boards, commissions, and county quorum courts, including three appointees from the north-central Arkansas region.

Rodney Richmond of Searcy has been reappointed to the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy. His term is set to expire on June 30, 2032. Vickie Burlsworth of Harrison has been appointed to the State Board of Optometry, replacing William White. Her term will expire on April 26, 2028.

In Searcy County, John Hinchey of Marshall has been named Justice of the Peace for District 1, filling the remaining term of Rob Woods. Hinchey’s appointment will run through December 31, 2026.

The announcements were part of a broader list of 30 appointments made by Gov. Sanders. These appointments also included positions on the Arkansas Educational Television Commission, Arkansas Minority Health Commission, Arkansas Rural Medical Practice Student Loan and Scholarship Board, Tax Appeals Commission, and other statewide boards and commissions.
