The Mountain Home Christian Academy (MHCA) Lady Eagles delivered a commanding performance on Wednesday, sweeping Alpena in three consecutive volleyball matches on their home court.
The evening began with the junior high B team defeating Alpena in two closely contested sets, 25-22 and 25-19. In the junior high A game, MHCA widened their margin of victory, winning both sets decisively with identical scores of 25-11.
The senior high varsity squad continued the momentum, securing the final match of the night with scores of 25-11, 25-12, and 25-10.
Khloe Cotter led the Lady Eagles with an impressive performance, contributing 10 aces, six kills, and 12 assists. Kiley Bell added five kills and 14 assists, while Marie Claire Robinson contributed five kills. Additional contributions came from Adelaide Coghlan, who recorded four kills and three aces, and Zoe Hooyer, who added four aces of her own.
Following their sweep of Alpena, the MHCA Lady Eagles were scheduled to travel to Izard County Consolidated on Thursday for a junior high A game and a senior high varsity match, set to begin at 4:30 p.m.
