The restoration of Mountain Home’s longtime tradition, the “Baby Bomber,” is progressing, but community assistance is still needed to finish the job, according to the Mountain Home NJROTC Booster.

The Baby Bomber, a small replica plane that has been a staple at Mountain Home school events, football games, parades, and other activities for over 20 years, recently underwent several key electrical and sound system updates. Local businesses Next Level Powersports and Acumen Audio stepped in to supply new batteries, wiring, a stereo, and speakers, resolving those critical electrical needs.

Now that the mechanical updates are complete, efforts are shifting toward improving the replica plane’s exterior. The NJROTC Booster is seeking local businesses or individuals willing to contribute to the remaining cosmetic improvements, including bodywork and aesthetic updates, to restore the aircraft to its former glory.

Anyone interested in assisting with the bodywork or making a financial donation to support the project can contact the Mountain Home NJROTC Booster by leaving a message on their Facebook page.
