Baxter County continues to experience an upward trend in sales tax revenue, with figures showing notable growth compared to the same period last year.

According to recently released data, the county's portion of sales tax revenue rose by 5.4%, amounting to an increase of $30,219 for the most recent month. The jail's portion also grew by 5.4%, translating to an additional $13,264 over the same time frame.

Year-to-date figures further underscore this positive trend. The county's share has increased by 5.0%, equivalent to $203,639, while the jail's portion has similarly risen 5.0%, or $89,388. Projections for total year-to-date revenue exceed expectations as well. The county portion is anticipated to grow by 3.7%, or $152,639, and the jail portion is projected to rise by 4.1%, or $74,683, before year-end.
