Arkansas State University-Mountain Home (ASUMH) has unveiled the schedule for the 15th season of its Performing Arts Series, which will feature seven events running from September through March. All performances are set to take place at the Ed Coulter Performing Arts Center in The Sheid on the ASUMH campus. According to the university, the series, which began as an initiative to enhance the region's cultural life, now attracts thousands of attendees each year.
The season opens Wednesday, September 23, with *Artrageous,* a combination of live painting and music, sponsored by the Haley Cultural Arts Endowment. The show starts at 7 p.m., with tickets priced at $30 for adults and $15 for students.
On Friday, October 30, Smash Mouth will take the stage at 7 p.m. Ticket prices are $60 for premium seating, $40 for general adult seating, and $20 for students. A VIP meet-and-greet opportunity is also planned, with further details to be announced.
The schedule continues on Thursday, November 5, at 7 p.m. with *Uptown: A Celebration of Motown and Soul.* Ticket prices are $40 for adults and $20 for students.
Best-selling author John T. Edge will appear on Thursday, November 19, at 6 p.m. as part of the Gaston Lecture Series. Edge, known for his book *House of Smoke,* will offer his presentation free of charge, though advance tickets are required.
The holiday season will be celebrated with *Christmas With the Nelsons,* featuring musicians Matthew and Gunnar Nelson, on Sunday, December 13, at 3 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Coulter Holiday Endowment. Tickets are available for $45 for adults and $22.50 for students.
The series resumes in early 2021 with two additional performances. On Wednesday, February 24, Jonathan Blanchard will present his program, *From History to Hip Hop,* at 6 p.m. Sponsored by the Arvest Concert Series, the event is free but will require tickets for entry. The season concludes on Sunday, March 7, at 7 p.m. with Cirque Mechanics, a performance sponsored by Danfoss. Tickets are available for $40 for adults and $20 for students.
Season tickets, providing entry to all seven performances, cost $195 for adults and $97.50 for students.
