Izard County Sheriff's Office Reports Weekly Arrests

The Izard County Sheriff’s Office has released details of arrests made last week, highlighting charges that include probation violations, theft, drug possession, and driving while intoxicated. Sheriff Charley Melton provided the details, noting that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

Gregory Ward, 40, of Walnut Ridge, was arrested on July 20 on a petition to revoke probation issued by the Izard County Circuit Court.

Justin Eli Burch, 37, of Calico Rock, was taken into custody on July 21 on a failure-to-appear warrant from the Izard County District Court.

Tara Spangler, 54, of Melbourne, was arrested on July 22 in connection with a theft of property warrant issued by the Izard County District Court.

Maranda Jones, 34, of Calico Rock, was also arrested on July 22 on a warrant for violating Arkansas's hot check law, according to officials.

Sheila Bryant, 34, of Horseshoe Bend, was arrested on July 23 for third-degree domestic battery. Authorities noted that Bryant was additionally placed on a probation/parole hold.

Christopher Elliot, 52, of Calico Rock, was arrested on July 24 and is awaiting formal charges related to possession of a controlled substance.

Joseph Andrews, 29, of Melbourne, was arrested on July 25 on a failure-to-appear warrant issued by the district court.

Caleb Jackson, 25, of Black Rock, was taken into custody on July 25 for charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and sexual solicitation of a minor, stemming from a warrant issued by the Izard County Circuit Court.

James Michael Dillard, 51, of Horseshoe Bend, was arrested on July 25 on multiple charges, including driving while intoxicated, refusing to submit to a chemical test, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of uncontained medical marijuana in a vehicle, and disorderly conduct.

Finally, Joshua Binnion, 35, of Franklin, was arrested on July 26 for careless driving, driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.
