Izard County fans will have their first opportunity to see this year’s Cougar football teams in action at the school’s annual Black & Gray Game on Friday night.
The event will start with the junior high team taking the field at 6 p.m., followed by the senior high team at 7 p.m. Throughout the evening, Cougar football players and cheerleaders will be introduced. The event is free and open to the public.
Free hot dogs and water will be available for attendees, and the school’s concession stand will offer additional items for purchase.
Izard County School District is also encouraging fans to bring donations of non-perishable, individually packaged snacks. Suggested items include peanut butter crackers, chips, snack crackers, or other easy-to-carry options. These snacks will be provided to athletes for bus rides during the season.
Fans are invited to come dressed in black and gray to show their support for the Cougars as the community gathers to celebrate the start of football season.
