The Mountain Home Christian Academy Lady Eagles volleyball team competed in three matches against Bergman on Tuesday evening, with mixed results across junior high and senior high play.
The junior high B-Team Lady Eagles emerged victorious, winning in straight sets with scores of 25-12 and 25-23. In junior high varsity action, the Lady Eagles also performed strongly, defeating Bergman 25-16 in both sets.
However, in senior high varsity competition, Bergman overcame MHCA in three closely contested sets. The Lady Eagles fell 25-21 in the first set, pushed Bergman into extra points in a hard-fought second set but ultimately lost 26-24, and concluded the match with a 25-20 loss in the third set.
The Mountain Home Christian Academy volleyball teams are set to host Alpena on Wednesday, with matches scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
