A Paragould man has been sentenced to five years in a community corrections center after pleading guilty to two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault involving a teenager.
Second Judicial Circuit Court Judge Randy Philhours issued the sentence for 26-year-old Reese Wilson, which includes 60 months at the Arkansas Department of Corrections’ Community Corrections Center and an additional 60 months of suspended sentence. Wilson was credited with 362 days of time already served in jail.
Judge Philhours also ordered Wilson to have no contact with the victim, pay all court costs and fines, and register as a sex offender. Five other sexual assault charges originally filed against Wilson were dismissed, according to the sentencing order.
Court records show that police launched an investigation into Wilson in August 2025 after receiving reports of a "potential sexual relationship" between him and a teenager. Detective Lieutenant Robert Sexton stated in an affidavit that investigators had gathered corroborative evidence substantiating the allegations.
Wilson’s sentencing marks the conclusion of the nearly year-long investigation and legal process.
