The Mountain Home Junior High volleyball season started Monday evening with matches against Salem at The Hangar.
The 7th-grade Lady Bombers opened the night in a tightly-contested match. Mountain Home claimed the first set, 25-23, but Salem responded by winning the next two sets, 25-14 and 15-13. The decisive third set was pivotal for Salem as they secured the 2-1 match victory. Baylin Rose led the 7th-grade Lady Bombers with six aces during the match.
The 8th-grade Lady Bombers fared better, dominating Salem to win in straight sets. Mountain Home took the first set 25-17 and finished strong with a 25-10 win in the second set. Emma Campbell contributed heavily to the victory with five aces and six assists. Lexi Fenner added to the team’s success with six kills.
Both the 7th- and 8th-grade teams will return to action Tuesday evening with matches against Harrison at Goblin Arena.
