A 62-year-old Paragould man has been charged with third-degree domestic battery after an alleged violent altercation with his wife.
According to court documents, officers responded to a report of ongoing domestic violence on Sunday, Aug. 23. Upon arrival, they found a woman with injuries to her face consistent with bleeding.
Investigator Hunter De Sesso, in an affidavit, stated that the victim reported her husband, Walter Kimble, had “slammed her face into a mirror in their bathroom.” The victim further alleged that Kimble used shards from a broken vase to cut her face.
During the hearing, Greene County District Court Judge Curtis Hitt found probable cause to formally charge Kimble with third-degree domestic battery, a Class D felony in Arkansas. De Sesso also noted that Kimble has a prior conviction of third-degree battery from 2024.
Kimble is currently being held at the Greene County Detention Center with his bond set at $150,000 cash or surety. Judge Hitt has ordered that if released, Kimble will be required to wear a GPS ankle monitor and maintain no contact with the victim.
The case remains under investigation.
