An affidavit released by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) has provided further details regarding the August 20 arrest of Madison Lynn Junkersfeld. According to the document, deputies responded to a report that Junkersfeld had arrived uninvited at her mother’s residence on Country Club Road in Randolph County.

Authorities were notified after Junkersfeld allegedly showed up at the home, claiming her mother, Holly Watson, had some of her mail. Deputies contacted Watson, who denied having any of the mail and made it clear that she wanted Junkersfeld to leave the property, according to the affidavit. While on the phone with deputies, Watson sent a text message to her daughter stating, “Madison, you need to leave, you are not welcome here right now,” and later personally attempted to get Junkersfeld to depart.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they found Junkersfeld sitting in her car in the driveway. Officers reportedly ordered her to exit the vehicle, but she refused to comply. After one officer threatened to break a window to remove her, Junkersfeld exited the vehicle and was placed in custody.

During their investigation, deputies spoke with Watson, who alleged that Junkersfeld had called her earlier in the day, making threats in connection to a man named Glen Smith. According to Watson, Junkersfeld vowed to ensure Smith never came to the residence again and threatened to shoot him if he did. Watson also shared worrisome text messages from Junkersfeld, including one that stated she was either “going to jail today or committing suicide.”

A search of Junkersfeld’s vehicle revealed a handgun inside her purse, along with five rounds of ammunition. Deputies also discovered drug paraphernalia and a white crystal substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. The total weight of the substance was later determined to be 0.330 grams.

Junkersfeld was taken into custody by RCSO and subsequently transferred to Greene County Detention Center. She now faces charges that include trespassing, possession of a controlled substance, and carrying a firearm. The investigation is ongoing.
