Ronald Richardson has been promoted to senior vice president and digital banking manager at First Community Bank, the bank announced recently. In his new role, Richardson will oversee the organization’s consumer and retail digital banking team while managing daily operations and ensuring customers have access to secure and convenient digital services across all of the bank’s markets.
“I am humbled by the trust and confidence the board of directors and executive leadership team have in me and our retail digital banking efforts,” Richardson said. “We have a great team who works hard every day to ensure the digital banking experience is as good as it can be for our customers.”
Richardson’s responsibilities include implementing new digital banking products, enhancing existing platforms, and maintaining reliable services for customers. Judy Swaim, senior vice president and chief operations officer at First Community Bank, praised Richardson’s contributions. “Ronald’s leadership, technical expertise and commitment to innovation have played an important role in the continued growth of our digital banking services. He consistently looks for ways to improve the customer experience while supporting our employees with the tools and resources they need to succeed,” said Swaim.
Richardson originally joined First Community Bank in 2017 as a data analyst before leaving in 2020. He returned to the company in October 2021 as a commercial loan analyst and has since held several roles, including CRA specialist and consumer online banking manager. He earned his Bachelor of Science in education with a focus on physical education from Arkansas State University and is a certified eBanking professional through BankersHub. Richardson is currently pursuing further education at the Barrett Graduate School of Banking.
Beyond his work at the bank, Richardson is an active member of the Batesville community. He serves as the play-by-play announcer for Batesville Pioneer football and Lyon College basketball, as well as the public address announcer for Lyon College football and Batesville Pioneer basketball and track and field. Additionally, he is president of the Lyon College Kilted Army Booster Club.
Richardson and his wife, Deborah, who serves as vice president of treasury management operations at First Community Bank, have five children and 10 grandchildren.
