The Mountain Home High School golf teams claimed second-place finishes in a five-team tournament held Thursday in Harrison. The event featured competitors from Mountain Home, Elkins, Gentry, Harrison, and Huntsville.

The girls' division match, impacted by high temperatures, was shortened to 11 holes. Despite the heat, the Lady Bombers took second place, finishing just seven strokes behind Gentry. Molly Wright led the team and the field when play was halted, recording an 18 over par. Ashley Smith earned third place individually, with Ava Caples securing eighth and Brylee Blasdel finishing 12th to complete the Lady Bombers' scoring.

The boys' division was able to complete all scheduled holes before conditions became unmanageable. The Bombers secured second place, finishing behind host team Harrison. Cody Cormican led Mountain Home, finishing third overall with a score of 73. Bailor Tate followed closely with a 74, while Braxton Blagg took eighth place at 76. Teagan Booy and Brody Brown rounded out the top scorers for Mountain Home, finishing ninth and 17th with scores of 79 and 14 over par, respectively. Additional scores for the Bombers included Cameron Stone at 82 and Liam Gaston at 20 strokes over par.

The Mountain Home golf teams will return to competition on Thursday as they host Highland at home.
