A boil water order for a portion of the Bull Shoals Water System has been lifted, officials confirmed. The advisory had affected approximately 20 homes on Walden Lane after being issued last week in response to a water main break.

The Arkansas Department of Health enacted the precautionary order following the incident to safeguard public health, as main breaks can sometimes allow contaminants to enter the water supply. The agency regularly monitors water quality in such scenarios and lifts advisories only after conducting tests to ensure safety standards are met.

Residents in the affected area may now use water for drinking and cooking without the need for prior boiling. Utility providers have since repaired the issue and confirmed the system's return to normal operation.

No further related advisories have been issued for the Bull Shoals Water System, which serves communities throughout Marion and Baxter counties in north-central Arkansas.
