A Mountain Home woman is facing charges after authorities in Sharp County say she stole a vehicle and left behind her own car along with an apology note. Kelley Nicole Moore has been charged with commercial burglary and theft of property worth $25,000 or more, according to an arrest affidavit.
The affidavit states that in October 2025, Moore allegedly broke into a shop building along Highway 63 near Ravenden. She is accused of taking a 2022 Dodge truck from the property. At the scene, investigators say Moore left her own vehicle and a signed note explaining her actions. The note reportedly claimed that "bad people were after her," and she promised to return the truck while allowing the victim to keep her car.
Moore was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Sharp County Detention Center. She is awaiting a bond hearing and a future court date.
No additional details about the investigation or the recovery of the truck were available at the time of this report.
