During its regular monthly meeting, the Lawrence County Quorum Court voted to appoint Clint Durham to fill a vacancy on the Hillcrest School Board. Durham will serve in the role until the next scheduled school election.
County Judge Gary Barnhill also announced that there will be a budget committee meeting on October 8. Additionally, the court approved Judge Barnhill’s proposal to increase salaries for county road employees. The pay raises will take effect on January 1.
