Arkansas Razorbacks defensive standout Quincy Rhodes Jr. has been selected as a Second-Team Preseason All-SEC honoree by the league’s coaches, according to an announcement from the Southeastern Conference office on Wednesday.

Rhodes enters his senior season following a dominant campaign in 2025 that featured 44 total tackles, a team-high 15.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, six quarterback hurries, and a forced fumble. His 15.5 tackles for loss marked the highest single-season total by an Arkansas defender since Trey Flowers achieved the same figure in 2015. Rhodes also became the first Razorback to record double-digit tackles for loss in a season since Landon Jackson posted 13.5 in 2023.

The Memphis native showcased consistency throughout the 2025 season, with three performances in which he tallied multiple sacks. This made him the first Arkansas player to record three multi-sack games in a single season since Tre Williams accomplished the feat in 2021.

Rhodes earned conference and national recognition for his effectiveness in causing disruption on the field. He ranked second in the SEC and 13th nationally in tackles for loss per game, averaging 1.23. His 0.67 sacks per game placed him 23rd in the nation. Notably, during a Nov. 1 matchup against Mississippi State, Rhodes recorded six tackles, including 4.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and a forced fumble. His 4.5 tackles for loss in that game were the most by a Razorback defender in a single outing since 2005. Additionally, he tallied four tackles for loss and two sacks during an away game at Memphis on Sept. 20.

Looking ahead to the 2026 season, Rhodes leads SEC returnees in tackle-for-loss yardage from last season with 77 yards and ranks second among returnees in both tackles for loss per game, at 1.29, and total tackles for loss, at 15.5.

This preseason recognition from SEC coaches follows similar honors from Athlon Sports and SEC media members, who also named Rhodes to their All-SEC second teams, as well as a third-team preseason selection by Phil Steele.

The Razorbacks will open the 2026 season at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville on Sept. 5, hosting North Alabama. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. with the game set to air on the SEC Network.
