JONESBORO, Ark. — A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries Wednesday morning following a collision with a car in Jonesboro. The crash occurred shortly before 11:15 a.m. at the intersection of Highland Drive and Rains Street.
According to Jonesboro Police Department Public Information Officer Sally Smith, the motorcyclist was turning right onto Highland Drive when they entered the inner lane and collided with a car.
The injured motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
Roads in the area were temporarily closed as crews cleared the scene but have since reopened.
Authorities have not provided additional details about the crash at this time.
