A 32-year-old woman was airlifted to a Jonesboro hospital Wednesday morning after suffering a severe electrical shock at a poultry facility in Lawrence County.
According to Lawrence County E-911, emergency responders were dispatched at approximately 9:30 a.m. to a chicken house located on Lawrence Road 323. The incident involved a woman who had come into contact with an electrical source, resulting in significant injury.
Units from the Lynn Volunteer Fire Department, Strawberry Volunteer Fire Department, and MedicOne Ambulance responded to the scene. Upon assessing the situation, first responders requested a medical helicopter from Survival Flight to transport the patient for advanced care.
The woman’s condition and the circumstances surrounding the incident have not been disclosed. No further details about the cause of the electrical shock were immediately available.
