A Jonesboro woman has died following a July 9 car crash, according to a report released by Arkansas State Police.
The collision occurred at 5:08 p.m. at the intersection of State Highway 141 and Allen Street in Jonesboro. Authorities said a southbound 2001 Chevrolet Venture driven by 73-year-old Kay Ford crossed the centerline and collided with a northbound 1999 Chevrolet S10 driven by 19-year-old John Caldwell, also of Jonesboro.
Both drivers were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Ford later succumbed to her injuries.
The preliminary fatal crash report, issued by the Arkansas State Police on Aug. 19, provided details of the crash.
No additional information about the crash or the condition of Caldwell was included in the report.
