U.S. Senator Tom Cotton will deliver the keynote address at the Marion County Republican Picnic Dinner on Monday, September 18. The annual event will take place at VFW Post 1341 in Bull Shoals.
Cotton, originally from Dardanelle, has represented Arkansas in the U.S. Senate since 2015. He currently serves as chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, a role he assumed in 2024. Organizers say this event marks a noteworthy visit from Cotton, whose demanding Washington schedule has limited trips to northern Arkansas.
State Representative Jason Nazarenko of District 4 will serve as Master of Ceremonies during the evening’s program. Marion County Republican Committee Chairman Bob Zdora expressed excitement over the senator’s participation.
The event begins with a meet-and-greet at 4:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the speaking program starting at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $60 per person, with tables of six available for $360. Proceeds will support conservative Republican candidates and the Republican Women of Marion County Scholarships, according to event organizers.
Tickets are available through Karen Carter by calling 870-404-2065 or via email at carter@yellville.net. RSVPs are required by September 1, and the dress code will be casual.
