The Donald W. Reynolds Library Serving Baxter County is relaunching its Read, Write, Ignite literary series with an engaging mind mapping workshop for writers on Tuesday, August 25. The workshop, designed for teens and adults, will take place from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Christine Lunceford, a local writer and educator, will guide attendees through the basics of mind mapping, a visual technique that helps organize thoughts and generate ideas. According to a library announcement, the session is geared toward writers who may be feeling stuck or overwhelmed by their projects. Participants will learn how to apply mind mapping both in creative writing endeavors and everyday planning. During the workshop, attendees will also create a personalized mind map to bring home.
Lunceford brings extensive experience to the session, including her role as an instructor for the “Write a Book in 9 Weeks” course offered through Arkansas State University Mountain Home.
Those interested in participating must register in advance. Registration closes on Monday, August 24, at 5:30 p.m. To sign up, visit baxlib.org.
The Read, Write, Ignite series is part of the library’s ongoing effort to foster creativity and support local writers.
