The Baxter County Election Commission is set to hold a ballot draw on Friday to determine the order in which candidates’ names will appear on ballots for the upcoming general election on November 3.
The draw is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. in the second-floor courtroom of the Baxter County Courthouse, located at 1 East 7th Street in Mountain Home, officials said.
This process is a statutory requirement designed to ensure fairness in arranging candidate names on the ballot. Candidates, their representatives, and members of the public are encouraged to attend and observe this aspect of the election process.
Following the ballot draw, the commission plans to finalize its meeting agenda.
