The Baxter County Historical and Genealogical Society will host author and writer Kerri Fivecoat-Campbell as the featured speaker for its August meeting. The event will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, in the Knox Room at the Baxter County Library. Admission is free, and the public is encouraged to attend.
Fivecoat-Campbell’s presentation will center on preserving life stories, family histories, and crafting legacy letters. A freelance writer, photographer, and author based on Bull Shoals Lake, she has built an extensive career with bylines in notable publications such as the Associated Press, Forbes, The Kansas City Star, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, and Mother Earth News. Fivecoat-Campbell is also the author of *Living Large in Our Little House*, a book documenting her experience downsizing to a 480-square-foot cabin in the Ozarks.
The Historical Society invites anyone interested in learning more about documenting family legacies to attend the meeting. For further information, visit their website at baxtercountyhistory.org or contact them by phone at 870-425-2551.
