The Friends of the Baxter County Library will host a used book sale from Thursday, Aug. 20, through Saturday, Aug. 22, offering discounted books and other items to raise funds for library programs and services.
Scheduled hours for the sale are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The event will be held at the Baxter County Library, located at 300 Library Hill in Mountain Home.
Items for sale include hardcover books priced under $3, paperbacks under $1, DVDs for $2, and a selection of puzzles, CDs, audiobooks, and children’s books.
Saturday’s sale will feature two rounds of markdowns. From 10 a.m. to noon, shoppers can purchase items at half-price. From noon to closing, all remaining items can be purchased for $2 per bag.
Proceeds from the event will benefit library programs and services, which include educational and community initiatives supported by the Friends of the Library.
