Highway 304 near Delaplaine will be closed to through traffic on Wednesday, Aug. 19, as crews repair a cross drain, according to the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT).
The closure will extend between Morris Road and County Road 102 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. During this time, local traffic will still have access to the road on either side of the closure.
Drivers traveling east toward the closure are advised to detour west on Highway 304 to Highway 231, then south on Highway 231 to Highway 90, east on Highway 90 to Highway 34, and finally east on Highway 34 back to Highway 304. Traffic heading west toward the closure should detour east on Highway 304 to Highway 34, then west on Highway 34 to Highway 90, west on Highway 90 to Highway 231, and north on Highway 231 back to Highway 304.
Digital message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and other signage will be placed to alert motorists and provide directions, according to ARDOT.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and use caution near the construction area.
