Eligible senior citizens in Baxter, Boone, Marion, Newton, and Searcy counties can still apply for Farmers Market coupon booklets. The program, provided through the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas, offers $50 worth of coupons that can be redeemed at farmers markets, roadside stands, and participating farm stands.

Seniors over the age of 60 who meet the program's income guidelines can apply for the coupons, which are designed to boost access to fresh, locally grown produce.

Jeff Quick, Chief Executive Officer of the food bank, described the community’s excitement about the program. "We have plenty of coupon books available and encourage eligible seniors to come in and apply," Quick said.

Applications are processed at the Food Bank's main facility at 1042 Highland Circle in Mountain Home. Seniors can also visit one of the food bank's mobile locations for assistance with the application process. Staff members will be available to help guide applicants.
