Seventeen building permits were issued in Mountain Home during July, highlighted by a $1.6 million commercial addition project for East Side Baptist Church, according to Building Inspection Manager Jeannie Anderson.
The permit for East Side Baptist Church, located at 718 East 9th Street, had the highest construction value at $1,652,078. Other notable commercial permits included a $594,000 remodeling project for Crawford Dental at 304 Bomber Boulevard and a $46,000 new commercial building for Tractor Supply Company at 1025 Highway 62.
Additional commercial projects included a $65,000 remodeling permit for Lux Nail Lounge and Spa at 307 South Main Street, a $4,000 commercial accessory structure for Marc Oakes at 1221 Commerce Drive, and a $3,653 commercial accessory structure for Hilltop Church at 18 CR 458. Baxter Health was issued a $77,532 commercial sign permit at 624 Hospital Drive. In total, the commercial permits represented $2,448,143 in construction value, with $7,490.93 collected in fees.
On the residential side, a stretch of Arkansas Avenue, from 3100 to 3300, saw a $1,350,000 residential project led by Freedom Hobbs. Other residential permits included a $400,000 project by Kolton Frasier at 704 Woodcrest Drive, a $3,400 residential accessory structure by Richard Nickel at 401 Bomber Boulevard, and a $2,261 accessory structure by Michael DeRolf at 1204 Demetree Street. Residential permits accounted for $1,992,261 in construction value and $1,969.05 in fees collected.
Combined, July building permits in Mountain Home totaled $4,440,404 in construction value, with $9,456.98 in fees collected, according to the Building Inspection Department's report.
