Jonesboro police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred Saturday evening in the 2400 block of Westacre Drive.
According to the Jonesboro Police Department (JPD), officers responded to the scene at approximately 8:07 p.m., where they found a vehicle that had been struck by multiple gunshots. The driver of the vehicle lost control and crashed into a carport located on the same block.
Officials reported that the driver was transported to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. At this time, there have been no reports of gunshot injuries.
The JPD Criminal Investigation Division is actively investigating the incident. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the shooting to contact JPD at 870-935-5657.
