Arkansas will host its first-ever Buc-ee’s starting Monday, with a groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for 10 a.m. in Benton at Exit 114 near Haskell. The Texas-based chain, known for its sprawling convenience stores, will bring 250 new jobs to the region.
Buc-ee’s locations are renowned for their vast array of offerings, including brisket, their signature “beaver nuggets,” and a variety of branded merchandise and novelty gifts. The stores also boast extensive amenities like spotlessly maintained bathrooms and up to 120 gas pumps.
Local officials are bracing for large crowds during opening day. Benton Mayor Tom Farmer announced that multiple law enforcement agencies will have a strong presence to manage traffic and ensure safety. The Arkansas State Police, Saline County Sheriff’s Department, Benton Police Department, and Haskell Police Department will all be monitoring the event.
Buc-ee’s has expanded across Texas, Missouri, and several other states, earning a reputation for providing travelers with unique food options and top-tier facilities. The Benton store is its first venture into Arkansas.
