POWHATAN—Powhatan Historic State Park will host a community lawn bowling program this Saturday, August 22, from 9 to 11 a.m. The event offers attendees an opportunity to learn and enjoy the centuries-old game of lawn bowling, once a favorite pastime of George Washington.

The program, led by park staff, will teach participants the basics of this timeless outdoor activity. Guests are welcome to arrive at any time during the two-hour event. No prior experience or registration is required to join.
