Emergency crews responded to a structure fire on Kirkland Street in Gassville on Saturday evening. According to reports, Gassville Fire and Rescue was paged to the scene at approximately 5:30 p.m., with multiple agencies offering mutual aid.
Units from Cotter Fire and Rescue, Cotter-Gassville Rural Fire Department, Midway Fire Department, Flippin Fire Department, Mountain Home Fire Department, and Baxter EMS joined Gassville firefighters in battling the fire. Gassville Police were also on the scene to assist.
Gassville Mayor Sheila Wingard supported the effort by transporting water, ice, coolers, and sports drinks to firefighters. She also helped shuttle responders to a rehabilitation unit at the site.
