Horseshoe Bend, Ark.—Residents of Horseshoe Bend and the surrounding area now have a safe place to escape the extreme heat blanketing Region 8. The Horseshoe Bend Community Center, located at 3 Club Road, is operating as a cooling center, according to an announcement from Horseshoe Bend Parks and Recreation.
The cooling center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visitors will find a cooled, secure environment, drinking water, and opportunities to rest during the dangerously high temperatures.
