JONESBORO, Ark. – Ruth Bogdon celebrated her 103rd birthday on Saturday with more than 50 friends and family members at The Bungalows retirement community on Caraway Road.
The gathering featured cake and conversations as Bogdon spent the day reconnecting with loved ones. Reflecting on the occasion, she expressed gratitude for her health and shared her birthday wish: to continue staying healthy and enjoy time with her son, who is in his 80s.
When asked about her secret to a long life, Bogdon dismissed any notion of special remedies or routines. "Oh, no," she said with a laugh. "I just get a glass of tea."
The celebration offered a joyful moment for Bogdon and a chance to reflect on a century of life well-lived, surrounded by the people she loves most.
