Authorities in Jonesboro are investigating two incidents on Thursday evening that left four people injured after being struck by vehicles.
According to Sgt. Howard with the Jonesboro Police Department, the first call came in around 6:30 p.m. The report detailed an incident near the Walmart on Harrisburg Road where two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle.
Just minutes later, at approximately 6:42 p.m., officers were dispatched to Craighead Forest Park in response to a second incident involving two more pedestrians who were hit by a vehicle.
Police confirmed that a suspect connected to the Craighead Forest Park incident is in custody. However, there is no information at this time regarding whether the two incidents are connected.
The conditions of the individuals injured in both events have not been disclosed.
Officials provided no further details about the suspect or circumstances surrounding either incident as of Friday morning. The investigations remain ongoing.
