JONESBORO, Ark. — Arkansas State University students are gearing up for the fall semester as the campus hosts a series of events during Wolves Up Week, scheduled for August 15-20. Organized by the Student Activities Board (SAB), the week is designed to welcome new and returning students with activities across campus.
The festivities begin on Saturday, Aug. 15, with Party with the Pack at 6:30 p.m. on the Heritage Plaza Lawn. Students will enjoy live music, food trucks, and a game of "singo." Residence halls also open for move-in that day, with Panhellenic recruitment wrapping up its three-day schedule.
On Sunday, Aug. 16, SAB will host Light up the Lawn on Heritage Plaza Lawn from 10 p.m. to midnight. The event features music, games lit up for the evening, and ice cream to close out the weekend.
Monday, Aug. 17, offers several activities, starting with Scout Your Schedule at 2 p.m. in Centennial Hall at the Reng Student Union. This event is designed to help students familiarize themselves with their class schedules. Later that evening, students can attend the Sunset Social from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Red Wolf Center, which includes live music, food trucks, and customized merchandise.
Students can cool down at Tuesday’s Splash Bash from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Heritage Plaza Lawn, where snow cones, water slides, and a mechanical surfboard will be available.
The week concludes on Thursday, Aug. 20, with a Silent Disco at the Red Wolf Center from 7:30 to 10 p.m.
In addition to Wolves Up Week, the campus will host the annual A-State Community and Organization Fair later in the month. The fair, supported by Centennial Bank and St. Timothy’s Anglican Church, is set for Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will feature registered student organizations, campus departments, and local businesses.
