CORNING, Ark. — Five Rivers Manufacturing unveiled its expanded headquarters in Corning on Wednesday, August 12, marking a major milestone for G&H Decoys, a company with a 92-year history, now joined by three additional outdoor brands under one roof.
The facility, located in a repurposed former Walmart in Corning, produces G&H Decoys alongside Deception Decoys, Dogg Company, and Hebert’s Custom Decoy Rigs. All four brands are American-made and were brought together by Five Rivers Manufacturing in 2025.
Joshua Stratton, vice president of Five Rivers Manufacturing, cited the region’s deep connection to outdoor and waterfowl industries as a key reason for choosing Corning. “If you are going to be in the waterfowl and outdoor industry, there is no better place on earth to call home,” Stratton said. “The flooded timber, the rivers, the rice fields—the finest waterfowl country in the world is out our back door.”
Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony, calling the headquarters expansion a significant victory for both Corning and the state’s outdoor economy. Duck hunting, an industry central to the state’s identity, contributes approximately $4.25 million daily during Arkansas’ two-month hunting season, according to the Arkansas Economic Development Institute.
“Corning sits right in the heart of the Mississippi Flyway in the middle of the best duck hunting in America,” Sanders said. “Today, they’re opening a facility that will make it possible for G&H and Five Rivers to continue to serve Arkansans for generations to come.”
The company’s $2.1 million investment in acquiring, relocating, and restarting G&H Decoys in 2024 is expected to create more than 75 new jobs in the area. A recent job fair held by the company attracted over 300 applicants in just four hours, signaling strong local interest in the project.
Landon Wilson, a real estate broker who played a critical role in facilitating the relocation, acknowledged the initial doubts surrounding the effort and praised the outcome. “What I was told was, ‘It’s in the wrong spot, it’s too expensive, and good luck,’” Wilson said. “I think with us being here today, it proves that Corning in Northeast Arkansas is not in the wrong spot.”
The headquarters expansion also marks the rebirth of G&H Decoys, the nation’s oldest production waterfowl decoy manufacturer. Founded in 1934, the company faced potential extinction when its former parent company entered Chapter 7 bankruptcy in early 2024. Five Rivers stepped in to acquire the brand, moving it to Corning and expanding operations into a second facility.
For Stratton, the company’s resurgence is about more than simply manufacturing products—it’s part of a larger effort to revitalize American industries. “Manufacturing is coming home to America,” Stratton said. “And when it comes home, it doesn’t come home to everywhere. It comes home to the states and towns that open the door. Arkansas opened the door. Corning opened the door.”
