Six senior members of the Lawrence County 4-H program recently competed in the 4-H State O’Rama, held on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville. The annual statewide event brought together young participants from across Arkansas to showcase their skills and talents in various competitions.
The Lawrence County representatives, all of whom qualified by excelling at both county and district-level contests, included Alonzo V., Dominic N., Justin A., Danielle A., Destiny A., and Jacob N. Each member performed well in their respective categories, showcasing their talents and serving as strong representatives for their community.
A notable highlight was Danielle A.’s first-place finish in the Performing Arts - Vocal competition, a significant achievement in a highly competitive category.
The State O’Rama also provided participants with an opportunity for personal development, networking, and building friendships with peers from across Arkansas.
4-H, a national youth development program, emphasizes practical life skills, leadership, and hands-on learning experiences. Officials from the Lawrence County Extension Office expressed pride in the group’s accomplishments and encouraged others to explore the opportunities the program offers.
