HOXIE, Ark. — Arkansas State Police (ASP) are investigating the death of a Salem man whose body was discovered Tuesday afternoon near a church in Hoxie.
Hoxie Police Department officers were alerted around 3:15 p.m. on August 11 to a deceased individual found on property adjacent to the parking lot of People’s Faith Tabernacle Church, located at 1202 Sullens Road, according to ASP.
The man has been identified as James Frey, 34, of Salem.
Following the discovery, Hoxie authorities requested assistance from special agents with the ASP Criminal Investigation Division. Frey’s body is being sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory, where the cause and manner of death will be determined.
No further details have been released at this time as the investigation remains ongoing.
