A Cave City man is facing multiple charges after allegedly breaking into a woman's car in Horseshoe Bend while not wearing pants, according to law enforcement.
Izard County deputies arrested 46-year-old Timothy E. Strain after responding to the incident, which occurred on an unspecified date. The probable cause affidavit states that the victim contacted the Izard County Sheriff’s Office to report the break-in, describing the suspect as a man without pants.
A deputy arrived to find Strain sitting in the victim's car, reportedly zipping up his pants. When questioned, Strain told the deputy he was searching for his wallet and medication. Another deputy arrived to transport Strain to jail and noticed he was wearing a necklace with a broken clasp. The victim identified the necklace as her property, saying she had recently had the clasp repaired.
Strain now faces a felony charge of breaking or entering, along with misdemeanor counts of first-degree criminal mischief and theft of property. Records indicate Strain has prior felony arrests in Sharp County and Missouri. He was also wanted in unrelated criminal cases in Fulton and Lawrence Counties.
Strain is being held at the Izard County Detention Center, with bond set at $25,000.
